From a young age, I’ve always been drawn to stories and exploration. Growing up, my parents were often busy with work, so I spent a lot of time with older relatives and neighbors. Their stories of struggles and triumphs became a source of wisdom for me, broadening my understanding of human experience. At the same time, I developed a deep curiosity about the universe, science, and the nature of human cognition, especially in areas like math, physics, and science fiction. I loved taking things apart and thinking about how they worked, and that spirit of discovery gradually shaped who I am.
In school, I did well academically, but I was always more interested in exploring the unanswered questions rather than what was taught in class. In high school, as I delved deeper into physics, I realized that my passion for science wasn’t just an interest—it was a driving force that pushed me to seek out new challenges. That’s what led me to pursue a degree in physics, where I completed my undergraduate studies in three years and moved on to a graduate program in astrophysics.
After earning my PhD, I transitioned into the tech industry, eager to tackle real-world problems with engineering and data science. Over the years, I gained experience working in top companies and startups, diving into fields like artificial intelligence, recommendation systems, and ad tech. Along the way, I discovered that I not only thrived in research and analysis but also had a growing passion for product design, business strategy, and working with teams. Eventually I realized that technology’s true value lies in its ability to improve people’s lives—not just in breakthroughs for the sake of innovation.
This led me to focus on applying artificial intelligence to human-computer interaction and mental health, aiming to create something that could make a real difference. That vision ultimately led to the creation of Kin Domi and the launch of Call Free, a voice-based AI platform designed to help elderly people who struggle with using their phones in everyday situations. This journey has been about more than just exploring technology—it's about using what I’ve learned to genuinely make a difference in people’s lives.
