We're honored to introduce our next Fireside Talk guest, the renowned British-Chinese journalist and writer, Xinran Xue (pen name Xinran). In the late 1980s, Xinran started working in radio broadcasting, and moved to London, the UK, in 1997. Her first book, "The Good Women of China," was published in 2002, and has been translated into more than thirty languages. Her other books, many of which being bestsellers, include "Sky Burial," "China Witness," "Message from an Unknown Chinese Mother," "Buy Me the Sky," and "Promise - Talking Love." She frequently contributes to The Guardian and the BBC, and many other leading Western media. She is the founder of "Mothers' Bridge of Love," which strives to build bridges between birth and adoptive culture, east and west, and rich and poor. In 2019, Xinran was awarded as Women of The Year and Women of Influence in the UK. In this episode of Fireside Talk, Xinran will talk to our founding member and writer Fan Wu about writing and translation, immigration and identity, women's rights, and how to break into Western media.
