Sustainability Scientist, Palo Alto

Influenced by magnificent Sichuan landscape, I took Introduction to Environmental Studies as my first course in college. When discussing the detrimental impact of climate change to humans, Professor Peter Schwartzman, the course instructor, teared up. Scientists have already predicted the impact of climate change on the earth ecosystems decades ago. However, human society did not take on any mitigation actions until recent years. Since that course, I started to search for solutions for climate change and other environmental issues. It’s a challenging path, but I believe in community-based solutions and grit. In the sustainability field, we need more diverse leadership and I’m happy to contribute from my experience as part of the Asian and queer community.
